The popular professional soccer podcast Seeing Red had a simple, free WordPress.com website to showcase their Liberated Syndication-hosted audio files. But with a new role in the official web radio broadcasts of New York Red Bulls’ matches, Seeing Red NY required a more professional, more permanent website. SD Shields Ltd. client Dave Martinez, of Empire of Soccer, was a former co-host of the podcast, and suggested that we would be able to quickly turn around an attractive, versatile, and easy to use website on a tight budget.
Our number one goal with the Seeing Red website was producing a simple, easy to use interface on the front end for listeners and something equally simple on the back end for the podcasters. Fully responsive, the site was designed to feel like an app when called up on smartphones and tablets, with minimal graphics and frugal CSS.
